We are learning to tell the time. We know that
there are 5 minutes between each number:
there are 60 minutes in an hour:
there are 30 minutes in half an hour:
there are 15 minutes in quarter of an hour.
We used our 5x tables to work out the time "past" the hour and then we used those 5x tables along with subtraction strategies to solve "to" the hour problems.
